Its more like the size of the child that fits the costume and how they look next to the other kids in terms of height

None of the things the PP mentioned -- freckles, acne, glasses -- has anything to do with costume fit or height.

It's also untrue. It's all dance moms speculation as to why their daughters never got cast as party girl

There was a party girl this year with glasses in our cast with glasses and one with freckles. None with acne, but they are young girls, none of them have acne anyway. That comment was nonsense.
