Totally agree no pro players at all but It is the what it is and the trend of youth sports is heading in. Look 25 years ago nobody had 5 teams in each age group at each club. Only the select few were traveling cross country for tournaments. Nobody was spending 2k-8k a year on travel soccer but fast forward 25 years it is the norm. |
They do grade in school but they don’t post everyone’s grade for all to see You know your kids game outcomes Why would you want to know other teams scores and record? To compare ? Meaningless Like a PP said maybe 1 or 2 players will ever be briefly paid to play and no scout looks at the teams record v other records. Just silly. Like AAU basketball the rankings and all don’t mean anything |
You are a gigantic loser. |
| The PP makes a sound argument when speaking on tournaments. Why is there approval for tournaments but backlash when asking for league standards. Maybe a compromise can be had. The leagues can post win vs losses however the maximum score differential will be listed no more than 3 goals. I also would like to hear from the parents who are against league head to head competition. How they feel and do they allow their player to participate in tournaments where they do keep track of wins and scores. |
|
The point isn’t that the kids can’t take outcome of winning and losing. The point is that the metrics are meaningless except for idiot parents who can’t discern whether a tram is good and developing with their own eyes and want to look at a meaningless metric.
A team could be 10-0 and not be developing players fully. But you be you and delude yourself with stats. Try the workrate thread too which is equally obtuse |
This is exactly why they don't post scores. Coaches need the freedom to rotate players to new positions and give substantially equal playing time at the younger ages. Your analytics are mostly worthless when the league games are primarily for training. Save the win at all costs mentality for the tournaments. |
None of that has an impact on posting scores. You play the game goals are scored results are taken just not posted. Same team plays a u9 tourney loses 6-1 the score is posted for all to see. what is the big difference? Youre only playing each league team once in the fall. post the outcome for all to see. Your playing in a competitive league so let the compete. |
You were at your kids game, you know the score, why do you care or need it to be posted? |
You realize they are competing--in their own games--whether you see everyone else's scores or not, right? |
To know where we stand in our division and what to expect from upcoming teams based of common opponents.Whats the difference between u11 and u12? can you explain? |
| I too would be interested in what makes u12 the score and standing line. Why not just wait til u13 when they play full field? Same goes for tournaments none before u13. |
Okay, there is no difference. It doesn't matter at U12 either! |
Cannot disagree with this. Perhaps even U14. |
| How about posted it all so we can laugh when the little rich white kids get smoked 25-0 by the wonder kids from Guatemala. |
Yes. Because those Guatemalans have produced all the world-class soccer players. When will those White Europeans and Argentines learn how to play like the Guatemalan heros?
