Your thoughts on height differences in relationships

Really?? When I dated my 6’6’’ ex it was a little frustrating at least at first because we were limited to certain positions due to our height difference (and I’m a somewhat average 5’6’’). I really missed having shower sex, as one example, but it just didn’t work very well given the angles. Maybe we needed more practice, although we did get super creative, but I definitely feel like more of a “fit” with my current 5’11 boyfriend.

Really?? When I dated my 6’6’’ ex it was a little frustrating at least at first because we were limited to certain positions due to our height difference (and I’m a somewhat average 5’6’’). We’d love to do this but our shower floor is so darn slippery that we’d fall and crack our heads on the shower bench or crash through the door. So we just lather each other up!

Just lathering up is how it starts! Lol. We start just washing each other, then it turns to kissing and then the next thing you know I’m up against the wall.

My mom is 5' and my dad is 5'11''. They've been married for almost 40 years. Guess that's why I grew up knowing that I always wanted a tall man, and my own height is not a problem.

Out of curiosity, why did you mention the races of the men who you dated, along with their shortest heights? I'm also Asian, by the way.

I’ve know loads of tall dude/short woman relationships. I think it makes sense in away…big people probably appreciate having a spouse that takes up less space in bed…or short people having someone big so that the average balance out and, when together, they take up the same space as two average sized people.

My DH and I are about an inch or two differenced in height.

I'm the PP you quoted. I was born and raised in Asia (hence dated only Asian men back in my home country) before I came to the States. The percentage of men >=5'9'' at my home country is similar to the percentage of men >=5'11 in the US. Hence my height standards (in terms of the percentile in the population) didn't really change, but it's just the population is taller in the US than in my home country.
