| I've seen them mentioned here a few times recently. How expensive is it? Where have you installed them? |
| Actual tube is $150, installation is about $200 depending on how difficult the job. They are great - we added three to our house, bring excellent light into interior hallways. They tend to leak less because of their design. Really happy. |
| Leak?? Less than what? |
| Less than skylights. However I have both sola tubes and skylights and have never had a leak. We put a combo sola tube and vent fan in a bathroom and it really brightened it up. |
| Who installs the solatubes for you? Is there anywhere in the area where I can see these on display? |
| We used amazing skylights. |
| Google "amazing skylights" in va. That guy is very good. |
| And do they really have a wireless version? |
| This may be a dumb question, but is there any way to turn the solatubes off (other than waiting for night time)? |
Yes. There is a dimmer. |
I think that is a hoax. |
I am in a rental that has what I think is a solatube or something like it. It's like a mini round skylight thingee. It brings in excellent light. There is no window in the bathroom and I can use the room during the day without turning on the light. There is no dimmer or shade. I wonder if you could install a swivel disk and be able to cover it if needed. |
