Mercury free flu shot in DC?

Anonymous
I'm 37 weeks and would like to get the mercury flu shot in DC. Anyone know where I can get one?

My OB/Gyn doesn't have the mercury free one and I don't have a car so can't trek out to random places in the suburbs.

I got one at a CVS Minute Clinic. It's only $30 and it was covered by my insurance. Good luck!

I am also 37 weeks and have heard mixed things about getting a flu shot at all. My OB was non-commital about whether or not it is necessary. I know the American Assoc. of Pediatrics (probably have the name wrong) recommends it but some (well-intentioned) people have told me I shouldn't get it. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks.

Also, a colleague got the vaccine at the CVS Minute Clinic in Bethesda and said it was not mercury free, so be sure to ask.

Two weeks ago I called Safeway to ask if the flu shot they have is mercury free. The people who answered the phone didn't seem to understand the simple question. So I ended up going to my doc's office at GW.

I received my mercury-free flu shot at the CVS Minute Clinic in Del Ray. Maybe it depends on the CVS whether or not they carry the mercury-free one. Also, my doctor (I go to GW MFA) strongly suggested I receive the flu shot and I'm still in my first trimester. I think going preservative free is the key.
