What can you tell me about Woodside Forest?

Don't know much about the neighborhood. We live in Takoma Park now and love it, but there seem to be some nice houses in Woodside Forest that we may consider. What do you like/dislike? Is it walkable? Are there lots of parks around?

This is my neighborhood. It is a very nice community, pretty houses, lots of trees and close access to Sligo Creek trail, which is lined with parks and playgrounds. From where I live, it is about a mile to metro and downtown Silver spring. Also very convenient by car to the Beltway, 16th street into DC, and Bethesda. There is a mix of young families and empty nesters on my street.

Thanks! How do you feel about safety there? Do you hear about the occasional robbery or burglary (like in Takoma Park)?

I would buy a house there if it were within walking distance of Woodside Deli and that bagel shop across the street from it!

The neighborhood feels very safe. There is occasionally a burglary and sometimes thefts from unlocked cars, but overall feels very safe.

I lived there for 7 years and loved it. Very friendly neighborhood and a great elementary school-Woodlin!
