suggest pants for size 13 with big belly and flat butt

I wear a size 14 pants even though I am between 12-14.

Size 12 looks good on me except I muffin top.

Size 14 is a bit too loose and with a belt my pants are baggy and shapeless.

Any suggestion for pants brand or style? Prefer jeans, but need pants for casual workplace as well.

I find that Ann Taylor and Talbots run big so 12s are more likely to fit. They both have several cuts so try them to see what works on your shape - something is bound to.

Your shape sounds like me. I have to avoid slacks that say "sits below the waist."

I'm actually on the hunt for lighter weight pants for spring/summer that fit appropriately.

13 is a junior size. It really depends on if you are built more like a junior or misses.

Try Gap Real Straight, Gap Perfect Boot, Lands End in their modern cut (or whatever they are calling the lowest waist these days). As an apple, I find that if the waist is too high, they are too tight in the waist and too loose in the hips and thighs. Just be sure that the waist is high enough to keep your undies covered. I've also had luck with some Boden items, but not all. Old Navy Rockstar, if you are comfortable with a skinnier leg; just size up two sizes (so a 16 or 18) so they aren't plastered on you.

Well yes, an actual size 13 is a juniors size, but the OP made it pretty clear that she was using 13 to mean she was between 12 and 14.
