PreK options when DC on wait list at neighborhood PS

Anonymous
So our DC is on the wait list for PreK at Stoddert. We are looking at other options for next year in private schools. Any feedback on a school with a preK class, that still has some openings for next year, that is 10K a year, and that isn't too far away from the Glover Park area?
Thank you!

Do you need full time or part time?

Not the op, I'd love to hear ideas in CCDC / AU Park. Janney is so not happening for us. I'm looking for half day, or full day (till 3).

OP here, I'm looking for 1/2 or full day. Doesn't really matter. Thanks!

Try Community Preschool of the Palisades. It has a really sweet Pre-K program (it's relatively new) for about $10,000/year. It is from 9-2, 5 days/week. Very near glover park. I'm pretty sure there are a few spaces left. Two full-time teachers, and only about 10-12 kids.

OP here. Thank you for all your feedback. I have visited Community preschool of the palisades and really liked it. I was wondering if there is anything else I should consider. I also went to Little Seasons but it is more like a day care than a real preK thing. I would consider it if I had a baby or a young toddler though.
Anything else?

Try Washington Hebrew on Macomb St. Wonderful school and a great Pre-K program.

Caterpillar in Tenleytown (10 mn bus ride) if you are interested in French or Spanish immersion

If you aren't opposed to a religious school, try some of the area Catholic schools. Small sibling year at our school and there are still PreK openings.

Preschool is expensive in NWDC! You can also try the Gan at Adas Israel (Cleveland Park), you don't have to be Jewish to go there and I don't think the 4 yr classes are that big so they might have space. But that will be more than $10k.

try Metropolitan Nursery school. It's difficult to get into for age 2 and 3 but they generally have PK spots especially since Mann opened a second PK class last year.
Many kids live right around the school but there are others from Glover Park, AU Park, Bethesda, etc.

We were very happy there with both of our children.
