VA Residents - Legislation Introduced in January has hearing on October 27, 2008 On Monday, October 27 the Special Advisory Commission on Mandated Health Insurance Benefits will meet to hear testimony on SB 631, which is legislation to require health insurers, health maintenance organizations, and corporations providing accident and sickness subscription contracts to provide coverage for the treatment of infertility in the Commonwealth of Virginia. SB 631 was introduced by Senator Patsy Ticer (D-30) in January of 2008. The Commission is a Governor-appointed commission of legislators and citizen representatives. The Bill will be heard at 1:00 pm on October 27. Supporters of the Bill are encouraged to attend the hearing, which will be in House Room D, General Assembly Building, Richmond, VA. All Virginia residents are asked to send a letter to the 6 legislators on the Commission - to do so click here to email a letter to them. RESOLVE cannot reach the citizen representatives on the Commission so it is imperative that we contact the six elected officials before October 27. Make your voice heard!
