We're looking for a Mother's day brunch with a big, lavish buffet. Any suggestions?
Where? DC/MD/VA?
Not a buffet, but Agora and Masa 14 have all-you-can-eat brunches with bottomless mimosas.
Maggiano's is nice

We're in Bethesda, but we enjoy a nice drive as a family, so wherever is fine.
A little background. We have a family tradition of going out for a nice Easter Brunch. We've gone with my mother and kids to the Mayflower hotel for the past few years and really enjoyed it -- they have both breakfast foods like an omelet station, and lunch/dinner foods like leg of lamb, salads, vegetables, plus they have raw oysters which my mother loves. This year we made a reservation and went and they'd changed to a very limited Prix Fixe meal. The food was good, but not what my sons were looking forward to. I promised them a "redo" for Mother's Day. So, we're looking for something similar. Bonus points for raw oysters! |
I always like the buffets at Westfields Marriott.
The ritz Carlton in tysons has a mother's day brunch buffet. It is expensive ($120/adult $40/kid) we have been and the fooD is really good.
My kids are teens which makes the Ritz super expensive. Anyone have a somewhat cheaper option?
OP again, the Westfield Marriott looks perfect, but far away. I'll definitely consider it, but would love other options.
J Gilbert's I'm McLean.

This might work for you |
It's not lavish but lots of food and its good and lots of seafood. Mrs. Ks in Silver Spring.
The Key Bridge Marriott. Very nice views, decent buffet with oysters if I recall.
J Gilbert's or the restaurant in the Sheraton at bwi or turf valley. We have been to all for Mother's Day. J Gilbert's is good but not a lavish buffet. I think turf valley is good but far.
