First Clomid cycle, had first monitoring appointment today

My largest follicle was 15 mm, and she said I had "a bunch of little ones". Said my lining looked good.

I took Clomid last Monday through Friday.

Depending on the results of my blood work, they may want me to come back tomorrow for monitoring or they may want me to just do the Ovidrel injection.

This is my first time with all of this and I don't feel like I have a firm grasp on the bigger picture. I can't find my TCOYF book, either. Does this all sound about right? I know the average woman may have bigger follicles by now but the nurse told me not to worry about that -- that it might take a couple of extra days.

Does it sound like I'm on the right track? I'm worried about bigger issues popping up.

Those little ones will probably run out of steam. That one sounds good. If you do the trigger tomorrow, then IUI about 36 hours later.

OP here -- thanks. Is one large follicle okay or should there be multiple?

We aren't doing IUI. For now we are trying Clomid, Ovidrel and timed intercourse.

OP here again -- they said my estrogen was 72. Looks like it is supposed to be much higher, but they don't expect me to ovulate until this weekend, so a lower number might be okay at this point, right?

Yes, it should rise later. Just a word to the wise and most of us here have been right where you are, you might want to try to just relax and go with the flow at this point. It is good to know the numbers and such at a high level, but worrying about the exact levels or size of follies when no one says there is a problem and with a Clomid + TI cycle is probably just stressing you out when you should be relaxing. No offense intended at all. I'm the biggest worrywart ever and learned the hard way to stop over-analyzing as my cycles went on.

OP here. Thanks, PP. I am trying to relax, I just hate not knowing what "your estrogen is at 72" really means in the big picture. Just trying to learn a little so I have a firmer grasp on the process for next time.

I guess I will just try to trust that I am in good hands, even if I don't fully get what's going on.

OP, I got pregnant with one follicle during a clomid/ovidrel timed intercourse cycle. I didn't even ask what my specific numbers were - just triggered and had sex when we were told to. Good luck!

OP here. Things are progressing very slowly. Noteworthy follicles were at 16, 15 and 13 today, barely higher than they were on Tuesday. Estrogen levels are also rising slowly.

Back for more testing next week. Patience!
