what's with all of the old threads being dug up?

I noticed lately there are a ton of old threads being restarted. Are they all being we started by the same person or is this just a random trend? For example right now there are 7 threads that were started at least a year ago ( if not longer), 5 an expectant parents section, and a handful or so on the first 3 pages of general parenting ( haven't really been to the other forms today so I don't know what's going on there)

It's not a big deal, just very strange - so I thought I would ask.

hi again - just checking in to see if there was an anser and noticed my typo... shoudl be "Are they all being REstarted by ..."

I noticed that, too, on April fools - assed it was a "joke"

Maybe it is someone new to the site so it new to them. Or someone who hasn't been on the site for about a year and wanted to bring the threads back to life.
