Four Corners area

Anonymous
Anyone have relatively recent experience buying or selling in the Four Corners area? Wondering if it's been busy or general state of the market there.

Thanks.

As in the point where Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah meet?

We bought in December. There have been a few houses coming onto the market recently, one of which went super fast. Another two took some time, but they were 2-bed SFHs, which I don't think are very popular. I actually don't know if there are any active listings in south 4 corners at the moment, but I don't know about north 4 corners.

In Woodmoor we've had 4-5 homes sold in the last couple of months, listed Tuesday-Thursday under contract by the weekend.

We've been looking off and on for the last year in South Four Corners and yes, the good ones have been selling quicker than we can make a decision.

No, the place where Colesville Road meets University Boulevard. It's a very common term for that area of Silver Spring.

Wait, OP are you thinking of buying or selling. Selling, I hope!

Ah, I live in Virginia. Silver Spring might as well be in Utah.

It has been super busy in South Four Corners. A house on my street sold in four days last week. Everything else in the neighborhood is under contract.

I'm hoping that folks are waiting until mid-April (aka very soon) so they can finish the school year out and move in June.

Am I delusional?

I'm looking to move into So4C, Forest Glen, Woodside, or Rosemary Hills.... Under 500k....

South 4C, North 4C, Forest Glen are probably the areas with sub-$500k move in ready homes. You might find a smaller, unrenovated home in Rosemary Hills, Indian Spring, or Woodmoor for around that, depending on how much work you're willing to undertake. Unlikely Woodside.

1226 here

Last year there were several houses in Rosemary Hills for about 525, this year there haven't been any.

I'm hoping to see some options soon. We don't mind doing a bit of work.

I've seen some homes in that area sit for while. They are not all going like hot cakes.

The ones that are sitting are on busy streets-- Forest Glen, Colesville, University. Everything in my South Four Corners neighborhood that is not on one of those roads has gone under contract in two weeks or less. I wish we were ready to sell, but we have nowhere to go at the moment!

OP here. We have a relative who will be selling.
