Want to hire someone this year to take care of the spring yard cleanup. Can you recommend someone? We're in MoCo. Also, how much do you typically pay? We have a small yard (.15 acre).
Thanks. |

| We just paid a crew $1,600 to weed, clean up, mulch and take away all the yard debris. It sounds on the high side but the few estimates we received were all for about the same amount (yard is .20 of an acre). |
| I just paid $650 for similar work. |
| ANyone have recs for this in NoVA? Falls Church/ McLean area? I've called a few places for an estimate and none of them got back to me. |
Check out http://snslawn.com We used them in the past-they did a good job with our yard and their prices were reasonable compared with other quotes we got. Scape Artists www.scarpeartistsNOVA.com left a flyer on our door recently. If they are looking for business, you may have better luck getting a response from them. However, I've never used them so can't speak to the quality of their service. Outsourcing yard work definately improved our quality of life. |
| We pay about $1100 for clean up, weeding, edging, mulching. We have a lot of mulch area, limited grass. Also very hilly. Any landscaper will do it. |

You was had. Same size lot, $500. North arlington. |
| I pay about $1000 every year in Chevy Chase, MD, but I have almost a third of an acre. Abbott's Tree Lawn & Landscape in Gaithersburg has been great for us. |
Who did you use? We want to hire them! |
Wheat's. |

The cost for our two acre lot is around $1500. we did it ourselves this year. 2 weekends and a few hundred dollars worth of mulch.
Saved a bundle. |
We're using Smoot. A bit over 1/3 acre. $500 for weeding/edging/mulching and putting down pine nugget mulch on all the beds and disposing of the weeds/debris. There's a discount if you pre-pay and book it over the winter. I think any landscaper will do this. I know Merrifield and Meadows Farms do also. |

I don't know how to use the "quote" feature - sorry. I don't use this listserve very often.
To the person who used Wheat's - they don't mow, correct? According to Angie's List, that's not a service they offer. Did you use them as a one-time clean-up? Our lot is about the same size, North Arlington, as well. We just moved to this house and want to have the initial clean-up done by people who are trained to catch all that stuff, because we certainly won't. Then we'll have to look for a mower. Suggestions, anyone? |
