Negotiating more financial aid

| Anybody successfully do this at a OOS public university? Student has 3.0 GPA, so not a top choice student. Any hope for more aid? |

| We did it successfully, but it was at a private university. DC had a more generous offer from another school, which we used as negotiating leverage. My guess is that it might be harder to do at a public university but I'd give it a shot, especially if you have a compelling argument as to why additional aid is appropriate in your circumstances. |
