Zero (I mean NOTHING) symptoms in TWW

Anonymous
I realize that pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness don't really start until 5 or 6 weeks of pregnancy (at least that was how it was for me). But I'm in the TWW of this IVF cycle and I have zero symptoms even to the meds - no sore breasts, no bloating, no cramping, not even a twinge in an area remotely near my uterus. My body feels flat.

Anyone encounter this before? Could it be that my body isn't responding to the progesterone / estrace appropriately? In my cycles the first time around I always had something like sore boobs - something to let me know that my body was registering the hormones.

Anyone else have zero symptoms (absolutely nothing) and eventually get a positive beta? Or anyone discover that the amounts of progesterone and estrace they were taking were insufficient?

Yes, me. Zero symptoms. Not zero as other posters may say like "nothing, except for sore boobs." Literally, zero. Nothing. I'm in my third trimester. Around week 6/7, I started having some extra trips to the bathroom, but that's it. I never had morning sickness, sore boobs, twinges (until much later because of lots of uterine growth), implantation bleeding early on. Good luck, OP. My RE reminded me several times that the symptoms or lack of were enough to drive a person crazy, so please don't rely on them.

+1 I did IVF as well, so I was on progesterone. I didn't have one single pregnancy symptom until 15 weeks, when I threw up once. Then I started to notice my pants getting tight at tight around 18 weeks. I am 33 weeks now and definitely can tell I'm pregnant, but sometimes I still forget because I don't feel that different from usual. Some people just don't have a lot of symptoms. It doesn't mean that this cycle wasn't a success.

Good luck, OP.

I posted below about a very different set of symptoms during my FET cycle than I had during my fresh cycle. The latter was a chemical but even so the breast soreness was undeniable starting the day before the transfer. Right now I can sleep on my belly and barely notice a boob is there at all. Not a single reaction to the meds and I too am in the TTW.

Unless you are the poster who replied to me that I shouldn't worry, there are three of us at least!

Thanks, everyone. Your posts are so reassuring. And yes, I am going a bit crazy with the lack of symptoms, so it's good to know other women have experienced the same and had successful cycles.

I am the OP of this thread. I wanted to follow up with this forum should it provide some perspective and hope to posters still on their journey to conceive.

After posting I ended up getting a BFP three days later on March 31. Had absolutely no symptoms and was in a state of complete shock and disbelief. So stunned that I ended up testing on three or four HPTs that first day just to make sure I was not imagining a second line. My first beta was 1575 (still no symptoms) and my final beta well over 7000. Turns out I was carrying twins. My twins were born three weeks ago - a boy and girl - and are doing well.

Despite not having any symptoms early on (absolutely nothing), I did develop some serious morning sickness right around 8 weeks that stayed with me for the duration of the first trimester and then disappeared overnight. Beyond that my pregnancy was relatively uneventful and I was able to carry the babies to 39 weeks.

It took four cycles of FET and then IVF to conceive and I relied on this board to provide me with positive stories and thoughts when things were especially tough. So thank you to those who replied to my post 9 months ago and best wishes to all who are still on their way to conceiving.

Zero symptoms. Twins in back seat now

Kind of off-topic, but it reads as if OP and another PP did FET before IVF. How did that work? Were you using embryos left over from conceiving your first DC? Or DE? Or was the FET following a fresh IVF cycle where you froze but did not transfer?

+1. Nothing. Not a sore boob. No morning sickness. No mood swings. Nada. And I was on progesterone as well. He is 5 months old now. Good luck.

You are on DCUM in the car, with kids in the back seat?

I was wondering the same thing.
