How Often Should You Buy A New Mattress?

| We have a mattress that is now in a vacation home. It's probably 20 years old, but has been only lightly used for the last 10 years. Despite the light use, is there some point where we should replace it anyway even if it still seems fine? |

| the mattress people will tell you otherwise. we have had ours for 13 yrs I think and it doesn't seem like we need to replace it anytime soon. |
