Machine Washable Suit

I am looking for one. See some cotton-linen blends at Loft. Any other ideas?

I would google "travel clothes" for other ideas.

Coldwater Creek has machine washable separates:

Maybe Orvis.

The linen ones will most likely need ironing.

Do you mean a business suit?

Please don't.

Oh!!! Check out Next!!! Whenever I'm in London I always hit up their stores for their machine washable suits. The first time a friend told me about them, I had a similar reaction as 16:17. But they aren't crazy expensive, so I figured why not give one a try. I was shocked how well they hold up! I have several now. Here is a link to their site - they ship free to the US.

Although I just looked now and it doesn't look like their site includes the info about how to care for the products - you might need to call customer service to find out which ones are machine washable.

OP here, I am not crazy- I have cotton pencil skirts (from Jcrew) and was essentially looking for a jacket I can cold wash to go with them. I have a new job and I have suits but would like something I can wash too.

I had a seersucker suit from LOFT once where I could wash the pants, but not the jacket. You'll be hard pressed to find a decent suit jacket that you can machine wash.

If you are in a creative field, you might want to check out Eileen Fisher pieces (or JJill for a cheaper version). They sell unconstrucuted pieces that work together like a suit, and they are washable.

Everything from the Limited is machine washable and I find their suits to actually be really high quality.

I wash all my tailored suits on the handwash cycle -- they have held up really well (they are mostly silk blends).

My jcrew cotton pencil skirts are not washable. Do they actually say machine wash on the tag?

I believe mine do- but I checked the website and the instructions indicate dry clean only. I bought mine a while ago so either I am mistaken or they changed the instructions or the tag is different from the website. Anyhow, I've been washing them in cold water on gentle for a while and they are still fine.

A lot of things that say "dry clean only" can be safely cold water washed and line dried. I almost never dry clean J. Crew/Limited pants/skirts. Jackets (blazers) I do, because I can't easily iron them properly after washing.

I think jones NY has a line of washable business suits.
