best choice for "spare" breast pump

Anonymous
Hi - I'm thinking about purchasing a 2nd breastpump when I go back to work, so that I don't need to haul the Pump in Style back & forth from home to office. (I will be working a part-time schedule, so it likely won't be possible to just bring it in on Mon & leave it all week.) Does anyone have recommendations for a good 2nd pump? I don't need it to be quite as efficient as the PiS, and I definitely don;t want to pay $250+ for it. But aside from that, I'm not sure what my best bet might be. Suggestions & advice appreciated! Thanks!

I love my Ameda Purely Yours- you can get it on-line or from the lacatation consultants at Georgetown University Hospital. It is a great pump and less pricey than the PIS.

I have the ameda purely yours pump. It is sorta rinky-dinky compared to the PIS, but it does the trick and is MUCH cheaper (I paid $168 for it at the hospital). Plus, it is much smaller and not nearly as bulky so I actually fit it into the diaper bag/ oversized purse.

It doesn't come with any bells or whistles like the PIS (no concealing tote bag, no freezer packs, etc.) - just the pump and two bottles. But then again, the price is much lower.

You can buy the extra accessories if you want to - car adapter, tote bag, etc. online.
