Yes, it's okay. My kids went there for PRE-K, and a good friend of ours works the media equipment. We're members of CLC and visit from time to time.

My parents left Covenant Life because they just couldn't agree with the closed-mindedness they felt. My mom divorced and remarried, and told me how she felt really judged by a lot of the people there. They were involved with the Care Groups and liked that aspect, but their Care Group leader moved and the group kind of broke apart, and they never really found another tight-knit group. I think overall they left because they felt the church members were more concerned with policing everyone than studying/acting on the teachings of Jesus. There was no "discussion" of current events--it was "If you don't think this way, you're wrong and going against God." That did NOT sit well with them! They went to Redeemer a few times while "church shopping," but my stepdad is not a fan of theatrics, which he said was big in that church. My mom liked it well enough, but they eventually settled with a smaller church up in Damascus.

Loved it and I miss it so much. We went for 6 years and participating in the Wednesdays Awana time too. It's large so easy to get "lost" but I would always join a Life Studies small group so I could meet people. I stopped going because I live in DC and got tired of the "commute", especially on Wedn nights trying to get up there. Way too stressful. But if I was closer, I would definitely still be going. Check it out!
