Hi,
Just trying to get some feedback for those who have cycled out of town for donor eggs. Where did you do monitoring (think I only need 2 appts) and where did you get an SHG? I know some have done SG and Dominion. Just wondering if there are any other options? thanks! |
| If you have an order from your oot clinic you can schedule the HSG at Washington radiology. That is where SG sent me to have an HSG done. They also do SIS too. |
| Why do you need an hsg for donor egg ivf? |
|
sorry I meant SHG (or SIS). No idea but RBA requires a lot more tests that SG or GW ever did...
I finally figured out that Washington Radiology does this. What about bloodwork? Can i just do lab corp or do I need go to one of the fertiility clinics? I work in College Park so was hoping to avoid downtown... |
| I went to Quest for my bloodworks. Be sure that the orders state STAT if your clinic needs the results back in the same day. |
| I'm doing mine at CFA. |

RBA pt here. I did all ultrasounds at the radiology center (100% covered by insurance this way) and all bloodwork and pregnancy tests at Quest so it was all covered too.
Good luck! RBA is a great place! I was a former SG pt and all those extra tests RBA requires ended up being a life saver for me AND resulted in a pregnancy the 1 try ( with 4 frozen). Dr Toledo is fantastic! |
| Pp did you do a shared risk? How much does RBA cost? |
thank you 19:35! Good to know I can just to WRA and Labcorp! We are hoping with young DE's we will get lucky on the first try too So far I like how organized & communicative they are and Dr. Shapiro is my doc.
20:55 - the cost is $16k and they guarantee 2 high quality embryos and they thaw 6 eggs so we are hoping for leftover frozen embyos! |
Didn't do the shared risk. They don't typically recommend it give their high success rates. As pp said its 16500 and that guarantees you 2HQE so if you only transfer one you get another try. I ended up with 5 HQ embroys. I've heard great things about Shapiro! Good luck! |
