| How much per walk do you pay? |
| OP here - is $15 per walk reasonable? (for the city of DC, not the suburbs) |
| If he/she is a professional, they probably already have an established rate. A local dog walker my friends/neighbors use charges $17/20 minute walk. This is in the suburbs, I would think the city would be more expensive? |
| We paid $15/walk for an independent dog walker, and now pay $18/walk for a walker from a bonded and insured company. We don't need him walked every day though, and they charge less if you do 5+ walks per week. |
| I pay $15/walk in the city (because we do more than 3 walks/week). t's more expensive for occasional walks. |
| The popular guy in our building charges $15 for 15 for people in buildings with more than one client. |
| $20/30 min walk for two dogs in Falls Church. |
| $20 for a 30 minute walk for one dog. |
| If you need someone to walk your dog for you, you should not be a dog owner |
You sound like a bucket of joy. |
OK, I'll just dump my senior dog at the pound then. To heck with the 9 years we've spent together. |
| I spend $17/20 minute walk. I though it would be cheaper out in the wilds of Fairfax County where I live now than when I was in the city, but nope. Same price. Seems to be the going rate for a good walker. |
Why on earth do you not walk your dog yourself? Do you ever worry about your dog loving the dog walker more than what he loves you? |
DH or I walk my dog in the morning before work, when we get home from work, and before bed. On the three days a week one of us works from home and on weekends we also walk him mid-day. On the other two days of the week, someone comes in mid-day so he doesn't have to go 9 hours without a pee break. So no, I have no concerns that my dog loves the dog walker more than us. And I have no guilt about using a dogwalker--it's not because I can't be bothered to walk my dog myself. |
Seriously? Hold it (all of "it") from 7 am to 7 pm and then type this, you daft bint. |
