| I loved reading about Dinosaurland in the staycation post. Got me wondering about other spots in MD/VA/WV/DE/PA that are fun, time travel destinations....old diners, funky roadside art, old amusement parks, putt-putt golf, bottle trees, etc. |

I just shared this in another thread, but I'll post it here too.:
Wright's Dairy Rite in Staunton, VA http://www.dairy-rite.com/ You might even run into a Statler Brother or one of their kids (they are the local celebrities....or at least they used to be). |

Not necessarily a roadside attraction, but I would put the Mansion on O Street in the category of quirky, americana, unique place to visit.
Located near Dupont Circle. I just did a treasure hunt there a few weeks ago. Quite a unique experience with 32 secret doors and a wild accumulation of stuff: http://www.omansion.com/ |
| The Route 11 potato chip factory is fun to stop at when traveling on I-81 in southern Virginia. |
| Anyone ever actually go inside Captain Mr. Bob's on the Eastern Shore? http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/North_America/United_States_of_America/Virginia/Chincoteague-884964/Off_the_Beaten_Path-Chincoteague-TG-C-1.html |
Roadside America is a great source for these kinds of places and they have an app, too which is fun for roadtrips and detours
