Good major for someone interested in becoming a Physician's Assistant?

DD did not get into the Pre-Nursing program (and I'm not even sure that's a good fit), so trying to think of alternatives. Does she just pick anything else that is science-related (ex: Biology)?

She can major in anything but I'd try to fulfill the premed requirements (the college probably has a pre med track but not a major).

My neighbor started out in a program to get a physical therapydegree and ended up becoming a physician's assistant.

I think it might be difficult to get into a PA program as well. The pre-reqs are very difficult.

Any chance of transferring?

The Major isn't as important as getting all the pre-req's completed with good grades.
