How to thank your references? A gift basket? Card etc...?

I would like to thank one of my references who made a good impression on the hiring manager.

What do people typically do? Gift Basket, edible arrangement's etc... how much do you spend?

A simple thank you message should suffice. Either a message by email or a card in the mail.

I thank them by not filing a lawsuit.

I think a gift basket or anything of monetary value would seem weird and unprofessional. Just send a thank you note or email.
