We are considering Catholic school for our two daughters, and wonder what is the most "liberal" Catholic school. We consider ourselves Catholic-lite, and are looking for a smaller school environment and a strong school community. |
Why don't you look at some of the excellent Episcopal schools in the area? You might find the ethics, misssion and community you are looking for without the Catholic dogma. |
I *think* but might be wrong that the Episcopal schools are more expensive. We would be open to a reasonably priced Episcopal school as well -- any recommendations? |

Holy Trinity for PK-8. |
Stone Ridge. |
Christ Episcopal in Rockville, St. John's Episcopal in Olney and Grace Episcopal in Kensington are all $20k or under. The ones further out are quite a bit under. |
Holy Trinity, definitely. Otherwise pick one NOT associated with a parish. |
How is Potomac? http://www.fourthschool.org/ |
Trinity - or one with mostly lay faculty. But if you are looking for a strong community, you'll likely be getting a parish community of churchgoers. |
Woods Academy (Bethesda) ??? |
OP here. Unfortunately, I think Trinity and Woods are both out of our price range. Thank you all for the suggstions. |
Sacred Heart is Mt. Pleasant?

Administration maybe but not the parents. In recent years escpecially Stoneridge and Holy Child have become popular landing places for conservative country club oriented parents. Administration and parents do not allows align. |
