Thoughts on Rock View versus Oakland Terrace. I see a lot of posts about Oakland Terrace and am convinced it is a good elementary school. I don't see very much on Rock View. | I know quite a few people at both, and we are at OTES, and everyone I know seems to like them both. I think they are both good schools. We really like Oakland Terrace. |

| I think people like both too. We used to be at OTES (had children there for several years through last year) but now we are at Flora Singer. We have friends at Rock View and they like it as well. I know someone who has taught at both and she thinks that OTES is better run, has more discipline, a different feel, etc. I think that the class sizes may be even smaller at Rock View than at OTES is younger grades (though they are still small at OTES). |

| Hello, NP here. Any other thoughts on Rock View? Considering living in the area zoned for that ES. Based on what I've heard, OT may be slightly better, but is it worth the extra effort to find a house there? |

Well, OTES has better test scores, but not sure why. |

| Test scores aren't everything people. It's four days of a kids year. Different principals place different emphasis on test prep. |

| Test scores reflect slight differences in poverty and ESOL between the 2 schools. I know parents and kids who are happy at both places. |
