Birth Certificates from Sibley and/or WHC

Does anyone has any experience receiving the birth certificate from WHC and Sibley? How long did it take from any of these hospitals and is there any way to make the process go faster?

At Sibley, they provide the paperwork required to complete a birth certificate application. You must then send the application, a check and a copy of your driver's license to the DC department (vital statistics I think). The DC department then issues the birth certificate in a couple of weeks (in my experience). I would imagine that the same procedure applies at WHC. No birth certificate is issued unless you yourself complete the paperwork and request that it be issued.
