I have two projects in mind, but I'm not sure which to pursue first.
Replace my main level carpet with hard wood (prefinished) or get my main level painted. Will getting new floors require pulling up the baseboard then touching up? What about trying avoid scuffs and paint marks on a new floor? What order makes the most sense? And what haven't I considered? |
| Always paint first. Then floors. |
| Paint then floors |

Old thread here with arguments on both sides:

| They will have to pull of the shoe mouldings to replace the flooring, so if they're painted, you could have cracking on the baseboard trim. Otherwise, it's really your preference. I think new floors would be more dramatic if you can only choose one for now. |
