Recurring Red Eye

Has anyone had this problem or know what to do? I have one eye that is red; I had some sore throat and headache and body ach earlier this week but the eye problem seems to happen 3-4 times a year. The eye doctor said it wasn't a pink eye...I am going to see my family doctor but am affraid it might be a waste of $ again.

Already tried some eye drops but no help in getting rid of the red.

Is it irritated or itchy, or just red?

What is red? The lid, the eyeball, the socket, tear duct?

Is it weepy, pussy, swollen, itchy, feel like there is something in there?

It could be a sty, a blocked duct, or it could be an ingrown eyelash (I had that a few years ago).

Plus, if you have sinus problems (only because you mentioned sore throat, headache) the sinus inflammation could be irritating your eye too.

The whole eye is red and kind of uncomfortable but not itchy or painful. I guess I will have to let the doctor see it just in case, bummer!

Does your mascara (sp) smell off (if you use it)?
