Looking for someplace to take a group of 6 where the food is good with a nice atmosphere but not too over the top loud. Bonus would be private rooms or semi-private sitting areas that you could reserve. Upscale but not at the top of the expense chain
Any recs? If I could get a reservation at Range -I'd go there! |
| Chef Geoff's on New Mexico Ave has a smaller back room that is quieter. |

Food and Wine Co. in Bethesda?
Tavira? Sushi-Ko? Founding Farmers (might be out of the way) |
| Matisse on Wisc. Ave near Friendship Heights has an upstairs that is quiet and can be rented as a private room. I had my very small and intimate rehearsal dinner up there. |
| Ripple? |
| OP here. I had thought about Chef Geoff's - that's a good one. I had completely forgotten about Matisse - nice suggestion. And while I love Ripple - it can be a little too crowded. I'll have to check out the Bethesda recs as I don't know any of those. Thanks! |
| Range and "not over the top loud" are not possible. |
Ha! Good to know - I haven't made it there yet
|
| Range is not that great, over rated. big time |

Indique Heights?
Bethesda: Mon ami Gabi |
They won't put a party of 6 in the back room. I like the food though. Clydes in NW? |

Buck's (next to Politics and Prose)
http://www.bucksfishingandcamping.com/ Terasol (across the street from Politics and Prose) http://www.terasolartisans.com/default.html Both small, intimate settings with good food and on a week night you might have the place to yourselves. |
This was crazy loud both times I was there. |
| I love Tavira and they have a great little private room off the main dining room. |

Love et voila in the palisades. Have a table in the back part of the restaurant.
Have you tried open table for range? You can get in during the week. |
