why did they change the menu???? They took away so many good dishes. Massive mistake.

I stopped going last year after they took away the pizza and the lebneh. I think they at least brought the lebneh back.

I hate how, at least in bethesda, they now serve the shwarma in these plates with four "sections". The whole point is to mix the chicken/meat with the rice!!

Plus the prices are much higher now.

I totally agree. They ruined the menu. I think they serve in this separated dishes so they could serve smaller amounts of everything. I'm going to try Bacchus.

I agree - I was wondering if it was just the westover location, but it sounds like everywhere. Very disappointed.

Also, has anyone noticed that the westover location makes their chicken kebab with the wrong sauce? They use a white sauce when all the other restaurants use a red tomato-based sauce. It irritates me to no end because it's not nearly as good.

As long as they still have Fetteh (just checked their menus, they do!), I'm good. I just love that dish.

They have gone downhill since expanding beyong their original Westover location.

We stopped going to the sit down Lebanese Taverna right after they built onto Westover. We went for lunch (got a sitter) and noticed how the prices seemed to get higher, the portions smaller, and the tables still tiny and crowded.

But, since we love the food, we just go to the Lebanese Taverna Market on Lee Highway. Its way more affordable. Our favorite is sharma, so we can buy it by the pound, along with a large container of hummus and olives, and then supplement the meal and get a dinner and a lunch for far less then we'd pay for one meal there.

We stopped going to the Westover location after the menu changed. We would either eat there or get take out at least twice a month. We now, too, go to the Market. The market's shwarma is way better than Westover's.
