| We are considering Holton Arms for DD, rising 3rd grader, and we live in NOVA/Alexandria. If school works out we might consider moving to Bethesda after a year or 2, but in the meantime are their NOVA parents that send their DDs there? Do you take the bus? Drive? I love the school but the commute really concerns me. TIA |

| A number of parents drive (carpool) from McLean/Arlington. There is a bus, stops at Reserve in McLean - not sure about bus from Alexandria. I believe there are a few Alexandria families. The school can put you in touch with them if you are admitted. |

| There is a girl in my niece's grade who comes from Old Town every day. I think she carpools, but not sure. |

There are at least a handful I know that comes from the Alexandria area. There is a VA bus but I am not sure where it stops. I think it costs $1500 for the year.
There is a cool click in the parent/student directory that you can see the listings in order from your house. They encourage you to carpool and you should be able to find other lower school families that want the same near you. The lower school also has an option of homework zone so they can stay as late as 4:30pm. Less pressure to be there at 3:30 exactly. Good luck. Our daughter absolutely loves it there |
