| Anybody know the pink eye rules in the area? |
|
The rule is KEEP YOUR KID HOME.
Gross. |
| At our daycare, I think it is after they have been in antibiotics for 24 hours they can return. |
Nice try but clearly another parent did not. If that parent doesn't car and the daycare employees don't care ... |
| What goes around comes around! Keep your kid home. You share, it will just come right back to you. It is extremely inconsiderate to spread. |
Alright non helpful dummies. I just need to know what the rule is. Nobody said I was trying to risk another kid or my kids health. Sheesh |
Thank you. I've heard as soon as medicicated to totally clear. I just don't know my center is closed but I need to tell my boss something if I'm going to be out |
| I was told, when I had it, that I could not go to work (I'm a teacher) until it was cleared up, which was longer than 24 hours on drops. |
Was this DC? Va or md? |
|
• Purulent conjunctivitis (defined as pink or red conjunctiva with white or yellow eye discharge) until on antibiotics for 24 hours.
Directly from my daycares illness policy. |
This was from my doctor, not my work. The doctor was in Maryland. She specifically told me not to go back to work until it had cleared up. Didn't matter what the school's policy was once she said that I had to comply (or lie). |
So daycare specific? Ok thanks all. The color is clearing do who knows maybe my kid got hurt at the center and they didn't notice, again. |
Yes, daycare specific. It's a dumb policy, because pinkeye can be viral, from allergies etc. But that's their policy. |
Yes, you are risking your and other kids health. This is common sense to keep your child home and not expose anyone to this. You are the dummy for even asking this. Just like with any illness, keep your kid home till it clears up. |
While I don't know the specific rule I know your guidance is wrong. I know it hinges on the medicine. No go away troll! |
