In particular, I'm looking for SAT scores for Eleanor Roosevelt in Greenbelt. I understand that it is only part STEM and part regular HS. In Fairfax, each school's profile includes detailed breakdowns by race/gender/economic status for SAT scores. I'm looking for something similar for Eleanor Roosevelt HS but cannot find anything on the PG Country website or school website.
Second question --- if you've lasted this long --- how does Eleanor Roosevelt compare to TJ in Fairfax? Is the STEM part really serious, or are they just pretending to be a comparable school? |
Did you Google "Eleanor Roosevelt SAT scores"?

here you go.
http://msp.msde.state.md.us/college_readiness/SAT/2012_SAT_162114.pdf This is from a MD state site. you can google other schools if you want more. Unfortunately it looks like a pretty far cry from TJ, or even Blair. The scores are 300 points lower than our non magnet MCPS. I don't know how it compares to other PG schools though. |
I found school-wide average SAT scores via the Md. State report card, but couldn't find a breakdown of those scores...but the overall school average is going to include a lot of kids who are not in the magnet. The wiki link seems to have SAT scores from 2006. I'm looking for last year. Fairfax provides so much info, it's surprising that PG doesn't.
Anyone know about the quality of the magnet program? |
I went to Eleanor Roosevelt Science and Tech Parent night in September 2012. The program released the following information to the parents in attendance:
Average SAT Scores for Science/Tech Class of 2012 Math 664 Critical Reading 634 Writing 616 Total Average Score 1914 Hope this information is helpful. ![]() |
