I am anxious to start TTC #2 via Natural IVF, but to do that I need to start a new cycle.
I breastfed my DD for 17 monts during which time I didn't have a period. My first menstrual cycle started almost 40 days ago. All the testing is done at the clinic but in just waiting for a new cycle to start. My cycles were on the longer side prior to having my daughter. Is it normal to have this experience post partum? When should I see my doctor? My RE keeps reminding me that Im not getting any younger... TIA |
Your RE sounds like a jerk He keeps reminding you that you're not getting any younger?!? As if you have control over when your cycles start and end?
That being said, there is a prescribed medication to induce a menstrual cycle. Maybe Provera? Inducing menstrual cycles is one way to treat and regulate those with PCOS. Your RE should be more than informed when it comes to this. |
My first few were long and I was eager to get back to RE too - turned out I'd become hypothyroid - took four weeks to fix that and then cycles got more normal - doing my first pp fertility treatment now and am 12 mo pp |
