Big round of layoffs

We're a small company. So the 10 we lost this week is 10%. Got word that our biggest section wont get anymore funding until September even if sequestration gets sorted. That will probably be 20-30% gone by April when funding runs out.

Fun times. Think I'll have a stiff drink and thank my lucky stars I survived this round.

The Govt. typically designates SB based on revenue and the industry. A typical limit is $14M average annual receipts for the last three years, but it varies a lot depending kn industry. Or it can be as many as 500 employees. Also, the same company can be small on some contracts and large on others.
