What's the difference between "ankle-length" pants and high-waters?

Anonymous
I'm seeing a lot of "ankle-length" pants in stores.

I have several pairs of slim-fit jeans and pants that I no longer wear because they've shrunk in length and I consider them high-waters. Does this mean I can wear them? I'm scared.

The difference is about 15 years.

Looking like you know what you're doing.

It depends on your style and your shoes. Wearing with trendy shoes, jewelry=good. Wearing with white sneakers and socks and a t-shirt=bad. You must also be thin which I'm guessing you are because you already have slim-fit jeans.

Ankle length usually taper to the ankle, and often have a slit. So they look intentionally ankle length.
