| making a birthday cake for my son's birthday. never made my own icing before but thinking of trying since the betty crocker stuff has such awful ingredients. is icing one of those things you really need practice at or will this be easy? don't want to ruin his cake (not that he and the other 7 year olds will care as long as it has sugar in it!) |
| its really really easy- assuming you have a mixer. powdered sugar/ butter/ milk/ food coloring as needed. You can just add more powdered sugar or milk as needed to get the consistency right. |

| hand mixer should be fine. I make cream cheese frosting with powdered sugar. Really yummy, lots of recipes online. |
