Got a positive OPK today morning - what is the best day/time to have timmed intercourse ONCE?

Due to sperm problem (my husband takes 3 days to "re-fill" his stock) when should we have timmed intercourse?

We we did IUI, I would take trigger shot and them be insinuated about 36 to 40 hrs late. Ex.: they would tell me to take trigger shot tonight and to come back on Thursday morning for the insemination. It worked both times we followed this protocol and my husband and I had abstained for the previous 3 days before he providing the sperm/insemination day.

The only time it didn't work was when upon telling me to do the trigger shot, they also told us to have timmed intercourse on that same night. When he provided the sperm 36hrs later for the IUI, his count was abysmal!



Anyway - we have abstained since Saturday, OPK was negative yesterday at 10pm and positive today at 8am. Should we have sex tomorrow morning, tomorrow evening (early or late evening?) OR Thursday early morning? We literally only have one shot at this - pun intended!!

Tomorrow morning. Maybe even tonight. But definitely not Thursday, that's likely too late.

I did a lot of research into this. I'd do tomorrow morning. And then I'd do Thursday morning too, why not?
