| We are thinking of going out of DC for a lifestyle with a bit more land and a few less cars going by each day. We want a house under or around $350k - any schools that you love an would recommend for ES? Mainly we were looking at the Silver Spring area and we have to commute into DC every day. |

Popular SS schools mentioned frequently on this board are Oakland Terrace, Flora Singer, Forest Knolls, Woodlin, and Rosemary Hills.
No idea if you can find a house for $350k in any of those neighborhoods. |

If you search the archives of this forum, you will find numerous discussions of the good Silver Spring elementary schools. The usual list includes, Woodlin, Highland view, Forest Knolls, Oakland Terrace, flora Singer, Rosemary Hills, maybe sligo Creek. I am not sure if rock Creek Forest is in SS or Chevy Chase.
In any event, it will be very difficult to find a house under $350k that feeds into these schools. Maybe it is possible in the Flora singer/Oakland Terrace or Forest Knolls feeder neighborhoods. But for the rest, it is highly unlikely that you could find something for that price. |

Unless you are a gang member Einstein is fine. They leave the good kids alone. |
