New McCain ad:
If the distinction between "guilt by association" and "guilt by participation" is that Obama did not just associate with a (former) terrorist, but participated in terrorism, the ad is a slanderous lie. If it means he did not just associate with Ayers but participated in Ayers, it makes no sense. If it means he did not just associate with Ayers, but participated in certain activities with Ayers, then it's repetition with different terminology. The ad is not only another smear against Obama, but an unprovoked attack on the English language! |

| I am not sure whether their constant use of the term "domestic terrorist" will have the desired effect. You imagine them pottering around the kitchen, making dinner, or knitting while sitting around the hearth, before going off to mix a Molotov cocktail. |
