LinkedIn for SAHM?

Anonymous
If you are a SAHM and you are on linkedin, what do you list as your job profession? Do you list your profession (law, medicine, banker, etc?) or do you put something like "mom"? I used to think it was ridiculous when people put "CEO to Jake and Sophie", but listing my former profession seems inaccurate. FWIW, I am just now starting the long trek back into the work force.

Do NOT put mom/president at smith family inc, etc. It screams unprofessional. Put your profession and then say "seeking new opportunities" or something like that.

put the dates of your last professional role(s). Then just put "marketing professional" or "blah blah industry professional". really just keep your profile minimal. do not mention family in your profile at all.

Use it to connect with old colleagues, friends, and folks in places where you want to work. Keep it as a networking resource, but then message or call those people via email or phone and do informational interviews outside of LinkedIn. Basically, use it like a work phone book where you are listed and you have other names listed.

Just put your last job as a general description. Or if you're doing volunteer or freelance work, put that in.

Do some freelance work and then list that as your profession.
