only 5 weeks and waiting is killing me!

I just had to vent and I know all of you went through this but I have three weeks until my first OB appointment and US and every day seems like 10! I had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago and am just dying for these three weeks to pass. Too bad there isn't another test you can do (besides seeing the heart beat) to make it seem really and like things are progressing. My husband just keeps saying, "relax, the appointment will be here before you know it..."

Anyway, I appreciate being able to get this out!

I'm waiting for my first OB appointment also. But because I'm a patient at a fertility clinic, they are monitoing my hormone levels. So, I get that sense of progress by seeing the numbers go up. It's no substitute for the first ultrasound, though! I want to see that blinking light that is my baby's beating heart.

OP, just ask to go in for another blood test or two that way you can find out how your hormone level is changing.

I went for acupuncture treatments (had a miscarriage before a healthy pregnancy so was pretty anxious too) which helped relieve anxiety and stress (it really does ease your tension) AND I felt it was doing something good to support the pregnancy.
