I'm trying to improve my legs by lifting weights especially the glutes. I've shed some fat around the hips by dieting and now working on gaining muscles to make my butt rounder.
At the gym, I've doing lunges, deadlifts, squats and step-ups. I love lunges because they give me that lift but it also makes my butt incredibly sore next day which is a good thing! Women who workout their legs (and men) what are some of your favorite exercises? |
| you seem to be doing all the right moves. The basics really are teh best. I would just try some different variations and comstantly up the amount of weight you use. |
| Agree with the above. My personal favorites are squats and lunges. You need to lift heavy weights. |
| Don't forget about your calves. Calf raises are easy and only add on a minute or two to your workout. |

barbell glute bridges and hip thrusts
check out bretcontreras.com he's all about glutes training |
Walk up an entire set of stairs and do 10 calf raises on each step. 17 steps at my gym and by the end, or rather- the next day, you will feel it. 2x / week. |
| Make sure you carry weights for the lunges. Sounds like you're doing a great job |

Lower you go on squats more glute activation, since I've been able to go atg (ass to grass) my butt has exploded.
If you can't go below pararel with a barbell try goblet squats with a dumbell |
