Seriously? Just go get a Betty Crocker mix at the store for a dollar.

If you buy a cake at Giant (that's what all your guests will want anyway) they throw in a mini smash cake for free. The mini cake is really nice, actually.

Why not just buy a cupcake?

14:37, why so grumpy?

I cannot believe you would actually pay good money for something that a kid is going to smear around for 5 minutes. This is insane.

so classy. not like i need to explain this to you, but we are having photos taken, thus i would like a cake that looks better than mine. and no, i dont have someone "wipe my ass for me" as you so politely asked. I actually work full time and travel a lot for work and in between that and all of the other stuff that i do (like cleaning my own house etc.) i simply dont have time to make a cake. in the spirit of rising above your crap attitude, im going to wish you a happy valentines day. maybe it will make you less caustic to people asking a question about... a cake for goodness sake.

I can't believe your child is not going to use a fork to eat the cake, teach manners!!!!!

I am happy you posted. I am having surgery the week of my DS first birthday and will not have time nor be in a position to bake a cake. I was going to do cupcakes, but may take PP recommendation for a cake from Giant with a bonus smash cake.

OP sorry you got some obnoxious responses. You could look at Just Cakes (or even Tout de Sweet) if you want a nice cupcake.

I was going to pipe in with the idea of making one. I made a ton of cupcakes for DS's birthday and took some of the batter to make a small cake just for him. It was cute, though he didn't really do too much smashing.

If you are having a professional photog, a lot of times they will provide a smash cake. We did that too, though he was even less interested in smashing that cake.
