Just wondering what would happen if hung a bunch of signs around the Pentagon for the W.I.G. meeting. That would be Whites In Government.

Apparently, it's ok to host a Blacks In Government meeting in a federal building. Can't imagine I'd get the same approval for the W.I.G. meeting.

Not in my agency!

Plus, these days the President and the Atty. General are black. We have a diverse(ish) Supreme Court. Why keep things segregated with a special push for blacks and not for all or any intelligent and hard working person to pursue public service?

Would you rather there be more minorities at the top spots in government? And lots of whites who are less likely to attain such high ranking positions working for said minorities?

Every minority group now has an association or group yet they really aren't the minority anymore.... I don't get it.

Here too. Our agency is diverse, for sure. And not just white/black. We have Asians/Latin American/males/females. I'm a minority and I agree that it's hypocritical to allow these kinds of meetings.

My agency has a blacks in government, hispanics in government, and asians/pacific islanders in government, and a gay and lesbian group.

There are various reasons as to why these groups are necessary. Obviously you are to ignorant to realize why.

NP here. Perhaps I am. You should enlighten me. I now know that whites are becoming a minority in this country but, God Forbid, whites act in a way that makes them proud of their heritage or race.

What white agency do you work in? I would say the majority of people that I work with are not white. Whites are the minority.

The CIO for NASA is a black woman, who is now retiring.
