DC Entertainment Book

We are new to the area and are considering getting the DC version of the Entertainment book (coupons for local businesses and restaurants). Anyone have feedback on the DC book? We used our New Orleans one a ton when we were living there, so we bought the Jacksonville one when we moved there and never really used it much.

I haven't bought it in years. I think you ended up with mostly second tier dining places. When I was broke, I used it a lot. Now that I'm older and pickier, I don't buy it.

I still buy one. But, they are not as good since a lot of places do coupons instead thru living social and groupon. For the DC one -- you pick whether you want the DC/MD book or the DC/VA book.

Ours used to have great coupons for Safeway, AMC theatres and a bunch of good restaurants. Now, there are very few restaurants listed for DC, most of them are in MD (we bought MD/DC). The good thing is the car rental deals are still better in most cases than what you find on hotwire. Same is true for sending flowers.

I'm really cheap, but I travel a lot and eat out a lot. So, I scope out deals everywhere.

Thanks for the honest feedback!

Ours paid for itself by getting a gigantic discount that we couldn't even get online to rent a mini-van to take our daughter back to college.

Groupon has Entertainment books for DC, DC/Northern VA, DC/Maryland, and Baltimore for $15 right now.
