In the past, I have had 1-2 bloody noses duing the winter, and none any other time of year. I sleep with a humidifier by my bed but the last 3 weeks or so I've had 6 or 7. I don't pick, and hardly ever need to blow my nose so I think that's probably unrelated...
Is this normal? Always the left nostril, and they are never very bad, stop bleeding after I put a tissue there for a few minutes but will drip until then. I assume its probably the same spot... Any advice? When is it time to go to the doc? Help! |

Go to your doctor. I don't see a downside and thats pretty frequent. Are you also bruising easily or feeling dizzy?
My DS woke up this morning with a bad bloody nose, a first for him. It can definitely be the weather. But I think if you have to ask if you need to see a doctor about something, its generally time. |

Use a humidifier
|
| It could be a vessel that's close to the surface and drying out easily. A little Vaseline in the nostril that's bleeding may help. That's what DS's ENT suggested for his problem. |
| With this many more, I would definitely see your doc. |
My brother and I both had vessels close to the surface with lots of nosebleeds. We went to an ENT, and he applied a little silver nitrate to the area, and the problem was solved. I was 8 at the time, but I remember it being painless, and it definitely was quick and easy. |
that's what my doctor said as well. |
