LinkedIn question -- list 2 positions separately or combine?

DW is a software development manager, and she has been promoted to senior manager. The promotion to senior manager involved expansion of the managerial duties. Is it better to:

- List the two positions separately
Pro: emphasizes the promotion
Con: Descriptions become repetitive

or

- Combine the position descriptions and describe the promotion within that description
Pro: may be more concise
Con: The promotion to senior manager may be missed by someone reading quickly

Also, if anyone has tips for using LinkedIn, they would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I would just list them together. That's what I see most frequently.
